Hey pal, i have been in these situations before, it actually sounds like the oldest trick in the book, playing hard to get, you gotta ask her out or just tell her how you feel about what she is doin, i think that if you have liked her for eight years you may as well ask her out while she is still single. You never want to wait to long because she will start to move on. hope the advice helps:)
