If I fail my hr drug test, will my employer look over it like meh fk it?

If i'm about to be hired but HR needs to talk to me real quick and they say, HEY you need to take a drug test before you can be hired, here. So assuming I go ahead and do this drug test and fail, is there a chance my employer will overlook it and hire me regardless of a failed drug test?
